Description
One Load. One Delivery. 20 Yards of Quality Topsoil.
When you need serious volume, coordinating multiple small deliveries wastes time and money. This is the efficient way — a full 20-yard tri-axle load of our screened topsoil delivered directly to your home or job site. Same product we sell by the yard: a blend of native Connecticut farm loam and organic leaf compost, screened to 1/2″ for a smooth, consistent, easy-to-work texture.
Ideal for contractors, landscapers, and homeowners with large-scale lawn, grading, and landscape projects across Fairfield County and New Haven County.
The Same Topsoil — Just More of It
This is the exact same screened topsoil blend we sell by the single yard — farm loam + leaf compost, screened to 1/2″. Here’s what makes it a quality product at any volume.
Farm Loam + Leaf Compost Blend
Native Connecticut farm loam gives the soil structure and body. Organic leaf compost adds color, organic matter, and workability. The blend produces a dark, rich topsoil that supports root growth and looks like quality soil because it is.
Screened to 1/2″
Rocks, roots, and oversized debris are removed during screening. What you get is a smooth, consistent material that spreads evenly, rakes flat, and finishes clean — whether you’re grading a lawn or prepping a large planting area.
Full 20-Yard Tri-Axle Load
One delivery, one truck, 20 cubic yards. No scheduling multiple trips. No coordinating partial loads. The tri-axle delivers in volume and dumps clean — get your material on-site and get to work.
Better Per-Yard Value
At $1,000 for 20 yards, you’re paying $50/yard delivered — compared to $45/yard at the yard plus a per-trip delivery charge. For larger projects, the bulk load is almost always the smarter buy.
What 20 Yards Covers
20 cubic yards is a lot of material. Here’s how far it goes at different depths.
| Depth | Coverage (20 Yards) | That’s Roughly… |
|---|---|---|
| 2″ | ~3,240 sq. ft. | A large front and back yard top layer |
| 3″ | ~2,160 sq. ft. | Standard depth for new lawn prep before seed |
| 4″ | ~1,620 sq. ft. | Heavy grading, sod prep, yard reshaping |
| 6″ | ~1,080 sq. ft. | Full soil replacement, new beds, post-construction |
Not sure if 20 yards is the right amount? Call (203) 877-5070 with your square footage and target depth — we’ll tell you exactly how many loads you need. Need multiple loads? Just increase the quantity in your cart.
Projects That Call for 20 Yards
If you’re ordering this volume, you’re doing real work. Here’s what bulk topsoil is typically used for.
New Lawn Installation
Whether you’re seeding or laying sod, a proper lawn starts with a solid topsoil base. 20 yards at 3–4″ covers 1,600–2,100 sq. ft. — enough for most residential front or back yards in Connecticut.
Full Yard Regrading
Correcting drainage, reshaping slopes, smoothing out a rough yard — regrading projects eat material fast. A bulk load gets it done in one shot instead of piecing together multiple small deliveries over days.
Post-Construction Restoration
After new construction, additions, pool installations, or major excavation work, the yard needs topsoil before anything can be planted or seeded. Bulk delivery gets the right volume on-site efficiently.
Contractor & Landscaper Jobs
Landscape installs, property renovations, multi-yard grading projects — contractors across Fairfield and New Haven County order bulk loads to keep jobs moving without waiting on multiple deliveries.
Filling & Raising Low Areas
Large sunken areas, settled spots around foundations, drainage corrections — when the low area is too big for a few wheelbarrow loads, bulk topsoil is the right answer.
Large Garden & Bed Projects
Building out multiple garden beds, large planting areas, or landscape beds across a property. If the total volume adds up to 15+ yards, a bulk load is more practical and cost-effective than ordering by the yard.
Other Bulk Delivery Options
